Welp Valentine's Day is on the horizon once again. Whether you're celebrating or not, I encourage you to at least take a moment to extend love toward something. Your family, friends, pets, yourself.
It's the last part of that sentence that people tend to forget. We bury ourselves and our own emotions under the needs of others, losing our own sense of self and, sometimes, even our own sense of worth. We base our value on how much others appreciate us.
I'm super guilty of this. Call it a Libra trait or something else. I focus on taking care of others before myself all.the.time. Yoga is a call to keep my fanning my own inner flame, and not to let it die under the weight of others. It's selfcare of the highest order. It's also the perfect time to re-focus on your new year's resolution, goal or to manifest.
Take the time to discover what you need in your own life as well as take care of your body. Maplewood Spine and Fitness is offering FREE MINNESOTA YOGA CLASSES! (yes, you read that correctly!) from Wednesday, February 14 through February 28. There are three classes from which you can choose:
Mondays at 5pm (Me, yoga flow)
Wednesdays at 5pm (Me,yoga flow)
Thursdays at 5:15pm (Sandra, power yoga)
You can try each class twice during this trial period (that's four potential classes for free!) I love teaching this class. The students are focused on body positivity, accepting of different abilities, and--maybe best of all--we keep it pretty informal and fun. It's a great Minnesota yoga class for both experienced and beginning yogis. My classes are take elements from soma, vinyasa and yin to create 60 minutes of total relaxation.
